The Lions (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Spring Hill was beaten by Boyd (Boyd, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Leopards meet the Saint Jo Panthers (Saint Jo, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 20. Gainesville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent (, ).
