The West Brook Bruins (Beaumont, TX) volleyball held off the host New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Bruins now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bridge City for a non-league bout on Friday, August 16. West Brook will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Anahuac (Anahuac, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-0.
