The Vela Sabercats topped the visiting Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Friday's non-league game.

Next up, the Sabercats face the McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, August 16. Vela will attempt to advance on its 7-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX).

The Bears (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Falcons go into the non-league game with a 2-0 record.
