California High School Flag Football - Esperanza sneaks past Aliso Niguel

The Esperanza Aztecs flag football squad scored 20 points and limited the host Aliso Niguel Wolverines to 14 in the Aztecs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Aztecs now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mater Dei for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. Esperanza will face a Monarchs team coming off a 27-7 non-league win over Etiwanda (Etiwanda, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 6-3.

The Wolverines (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA). The Barons enter the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Fountain Valley was edged by Sage Hill (Newport Beach, CA), 19-18, in a non-league challenge.
