Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Westlake Thunder (Saratoga Springs, UT) and the host Roy Royals (Roy, UT), saw Westlake's soccer squad triumph over Roy by a score of 7-0.

The Thunder (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Copper Hills (West Jordan, UT). The Grizzlies enter the 6A Region 2 battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Copper Hills was overwhelmed by Uintah (Vernal, UT), 2-1, in a non-league match.

The Royals now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northridge for a 5A Region 5 match on Tuesday, August 19. Roy will meet a Knights team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Morgan (Morgan, UT). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.
