With the win, Cardinal Newman improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC) to face the Falcons in a test on Thursday, September 11. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Iron Horses now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Lexington for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 26.
