The Gallia Academy Blue Devils soccer squad scored 4 points and held the visiting Alexander Spartans to 1 in the Blue Devils non-league victory on Saturday.
The Blue Devils now possess a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Ironton for a Ohio Valley game on Tuesday, August 19. Gallia Academy will face a Fighting Tigers team coming off a 2-0 league loss to South Point (South Point, OH). The Fighting Tigers record now stands at 0-1.
The Spartans (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Belpre (Belpre, OH). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Belpre by Morgan (McConnelsville, OH), 7-1, in a non-league game.
