Mount Tabor Spartans (Winston-Salem, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Mount Tabor moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to confront the Vikings in a non-league outing on Monday, August 25. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Hurricanes confront the Greenfield Knights (Wilson, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, August 20. Cape Fear Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 3-0 record after their 5-0 non-league win over New Life Camp (Raleigh, NC).
