In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Gordon Lee Trojans softball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the River Ridge Knights.

The Trojans (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Armuchee (Rome, GA). The Indians enter the 1A D-I Region 7 game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Armuchee was routed by Model (Rome, GA), 6-2, in a non-league game.

The Knights now hold a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodstock for a 5A Region 6 match on Thursday, August 21. River Ridge will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to East Paulding (Dallas, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-6.
