Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Braves meet the Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 6 challenge, on Wednesday, August 20. Heard County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.

The Tigers (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region 2 battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Whitewater nipped Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA), 9-1, in a league battle.
