The Macomb Hornets (Macomb, OK) softball nipped the host Weleetka Outlaws (Weleetka, OK), 2-1 in Saturday's league outing.
The Hornets now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Strother for a Class A test on Monday, August 18. Macomb will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 12-11 league win over New Lima (New Lima, OK). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-0.
The Outlaws (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Dewar (Dewar, OK). The Dragons go into the Class A test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Dewar was nudged by Henryetta (Henryetta, OK), 15-0, in a non-league contest.
