In Saturday's non-league outing, the Milton Eagles (Milton, GA) softball team nipped the host Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA), by a margin of 7-6.
The Eagles now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Gwinnett for a non-league outing on Monday, August 18. Milton will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-0 league win over Norcross (Norcross, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Pope moves to 4-4 on the season. The Greyhounds host Woodstock (Woodstock, GA) to encounter the Wolverines in a 5A Region 6 outing on Tuesday, August 19. The Wolverines come into the outing with a record of 2-5. Woodstock lost 9-3 in their recent non-league outing against East Paulding (Dallas, GA)
