Georgia High School Softball - Valdosta edges Westover

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Valdosta Wildcats softball team scored a tight 6-4 victory over the Westover Patriots.

The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA). The Bearcats enter the non-league game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Bainbridge by Cook (Adel, GA), 15-0, in a non-league game.

The Patriots now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Hardaway for a non-league game on Monday, August 18. Westover will battle a Hawks team coming off a 20-10 non-league win over Manchester (Manchester, GA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-0.
