In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Nimitz Cougars volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Alief Elsik Rams.

The Cougars (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Alief Hastings (Houston, TX). The Bears go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Alief Hastings was nudged by Fort Bend Dulles (Sugar Land, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Rams play the Terry Rangers (Rosenberg, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 19. Alief Elsik will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Stafford (Stafford, TX).
