In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Alvin Yellowjackets volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Ball Tornadoes.

The Yellowjackets (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Brazoswood (Clute, TX). The Buccaneers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Brazoswood was nudged by Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX), 2-1, in a non-league outing.

The Tornadoes (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX). The Hurricanes go into the non-league game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Fort Bend Hightower was edged by Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX), 2-0, in a non-league game.
