Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Ayala Bulldogs (Chino Hills, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sunny Hills (Fullerton, CA). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Upland for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 19. Ayala will play a Highlanders/Scots team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Colony (Ontario, CA). The Highlanders/Scots record now stands at 1-0.
