In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Portola Bulldogs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Canyon Comanches.
The Bulldogs (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Tustin (Tustin, CA). The Tillers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record.
The Comanches now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marina for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 19. Canyon will face a Vikings squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Saint Joseph (Lakewood, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.
