With the win, Palmview improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Lobos host Cigarroa (Laredo, TX) to encounter the Toros in a 5A Region IV District 30 battle on Tuesday, August 19. The Toros go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Cigarroa won 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Lyford (Lyford, TX)

The Tigers now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, August 19. Carroll will meet a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Lopez (Brownsville, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.
