The Longview Lobos volleyball squad (Longview, TX), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX)

With the win, Centennial improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Chaparral (Killeen, TX) to meet the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 16. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Chaparral won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Irving (Irving, TX)

Next, the Lobos meet the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 19. Longview will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Heritage (Frisco, TX).
