Rice Consolidated Raiders (Altair, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against West Columbia Christian (West Columbia, TX). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Roughnecks meet the Van Vleck Leopards (Van Vleck, TX) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 16. Columbia will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Leopards go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Columbia (West Columbia, TX).
