The Coronado Mustangs volleyball team (Lubbock, TX), was knocked off 2-0 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX)

The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Randall (Amarillo, TX). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Randall dropped by Weiss (Pflugerville, TX), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Mustangs now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monterey for a 5A Region I District 3 battle on Tuesday, August 19. Coronado will encounter a Plainsmen squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Liberty (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 5-3.
