Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Edison Golden Bears (San Antonio, TX) and the visiting Laredo LBJ Wolves (Laredo, TX), observed Edison's volleyball team hold off Laredo LBJ by a tally of 2-1.

The Golden Bears (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Brackenridge (San Antonio, TX). The Eagles go into the 5A Region IV District 27 test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Brackenridge was edged by Young Women's Leadership Academy (San Antonio, TX), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Wolves now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Weslaco for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 19. Laredo LBJ will meet a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 3-4.
