In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Vidor Pirates volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Flatonia Bulldogs.

The Pirates (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Nederland lost by Rouse (Leander, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs play the St. Paul Cardinals (Shiner, TX) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, August 19. Flatonia will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record.
