The Chieftans (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Shallowater (Shallowater, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Shallowater edged Trinity Christian (Lubbock, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the face the Karnes City Badgers (Karnes City, TX) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 16. Non Varsity Tournament Opponent will attempt to advance on its 4-23 season record. The Badgers go into the test with a 3-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Stacey (San Antonio, TX).
