In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Giddings Buffaloes volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Little River Academy Bumblebees.

The Buffaloes (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against McNeil (Austin, TX). The Mavericks enter the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, McNeil was tipped by La Vernia (La Vernia, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bumblebees face the Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, August 19. Little River Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Centennial (Burleson, TX).
