Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the visiting Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Whitewright (Whitewright, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Whitewright nipped De Kalb (De Kalb, TX), 2-0, in a non-league outing.

With the loss, Wolfe City drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Bonham (Bonham, TX) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Saturday, August 16. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 0-2.
