In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Stratford Spartans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Huntington Beach Oilers.

The Spartans (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Cypress Woods was tipped by Klein Collins (Spring, TX), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Oilers meet the Yorba Linda Mustangs (Yorba Linda, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 21. Huntington Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Valley Christian (Cerritos, CA).
