Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX) and the host Ingleside Mustangs (Ingleside, TX), observed Nixon-Smiley's volleyball team top Ingleside by a tally of 2-0.

The Mustangs (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Falls City (Falls City, TX). The Beavers go into the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Falls City was defeated by Poth (Poth, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host George West for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 19. Ingleside will meet a Longhorns team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Odem (Odem, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-1.
