With the win, Lubbock improves its record to 2-5 on the season. The Westerners host Caprock (Amarillo, TX) to face the Longhorns in a 5A Region I District 3 test on Tuesday, August 19. The Longhorns go into the test with a record of 2-3. Caprock lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Fort Elliott (Briscoe, TX)

The Bullfrogs now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Panther Creek for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 16. Lake Worth will play a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Sam Houston (Arlington, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 3-2.
