The Mount Vernon Mustangs volleyball squad (Atlanta, GA), was defeated 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Lakeside Vikings (Atlanta, GA)

The Vikings (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Archer (Lawrenceville, GA). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Archer beat South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Brookwood Broncos (Snellville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 16. Mount Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Broncos enter the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Mill Creek (Hoschton, GA).
