The Olentangy Berlin Bears topped the host Northview Wildcats volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next up, the Bears face the Dublin Scioto Irish (Dublin, OH) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, August 19. Olentangy Berlin will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Irish go into the game with a 1-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Olentangy (Lewis Center, OH).
With the loss, Northview drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Clay (Oregon, OH) to play the Eagles in a Northern Lakes outing on Tuesday, August 19. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 0-0.

SYLVANIA - In the first match of the year for both the Northview Wildcats and the Berlin Bears and it was a great match from first serve with Berlin pulling off the victory in four sets, 1-3, pushing Northview to 0-1 on the 49th year of Northview Volleyball.
Leading for the Cats was senior opposite, Bri Langenderfer, with a team high 10 kills, hitting .188, and 2 blocks. Senior outside hitter, Talia Twigg, add 9 kills, hitting .259, with 8 digs; junior middle blocker, Frankie Ramsdell-Washington added 7 kills, hitting .136, with 4 blocks; and sophomore middle blocker, Reese Holmes with 4 kills and 2 blocks. Defensively, the Cats were led by sophomore libero, Jade Hagan, with 14 digs. Northview's power was driven by junior setter, Alayna Sauer with 34 assists, 11 digs, for her first double-double of the year, while adding 3 kills and 3 aces.
The Cats return to action on Tuesday as they host Clay with Freshman starting at 4:45 P.M.
