Mill Creek Hawks (Hoschton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lambert Longhorns (Suwanee, GA), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dawson County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 21.

With the loss, Lambert falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Pope (Marietta, GA) to face the Greyhounds in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 24. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Pope won 6-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Sequoyah (Canton, GA)
