The North Stanly Comets volleyball team (New London, NC), was nudged 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC)

The Yellow Jackets (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, South Stanly nipped Salisbury (Salisbury, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Comets meet the Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 18. North Stanly will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Spiders enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC).
