In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Robinson Bulldogs soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the West Stanly Colts.
The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Colts battle the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, August 22. West Stanly will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC).
