The Polk County Wolverines soccer team (Columbus, NC), 4-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC)

With the win, West Henderson advances its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host Swain County (Bryson City, NC) to play the Maroon Devils in a non-league outing on Thursday, August 18. The Maroon Devils go into the contest with a record of 0-2. Swain County lost 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC)

The Wolverines now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Smoky Mountain for a non-league contest on Monday, August 22. Polk County will face a Mustangs team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
