The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) and the host Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC), saw Alexander Central's volleyball squad beat Bandys by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Alexander Central upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to West Iredell (Statesville, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, August 21. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

The Trojans now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Lincoln for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. Bandys will play a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.
