In Thursday's non-league contest, the Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) softball team held off the visiting Bainbridge Bearcats (Bainbridge, GA), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Lowndes moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Vikings travel to Lee County (Leesburg, GA) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Wednesday, August 23. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 4-1.
In their next game, the Bearcats play the Colquitt County Packers (Norman Park, GA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 22. Bainbridge will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
