Central City Bison (Central City, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Boone Central/Newman Grove Cardinals (Albion, NE), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Bison now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Polk County for a C District challenge on Tuesday, August 22. Central City will battle a Slammers squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to NEN (Wisner, NE). The Slammers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Boone Central/Newman Grove falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Highway 91 (Leigh, NE) to battle the in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 21. The enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Highway 91 lost 11-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Polk County (Stromsburg, NE)
