Porum Panthers (Porum, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Okemah Panthers (Okemah, OK), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Wewoka for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 17. Porum will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to Seminole (Seminole, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 1-5.
With the loss, Okemah falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pawnee (Pawnee, OK) to battle the Black Bears in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 21. The Black Bears enter the challenge with a record of 3-3.
