The Ennis Lions held off the visiting Commerce Tigers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Lions now have a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wills Point for a non-league test on Friday, August 18. Ennis will confront a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 9-3.

The Tigers (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Sulphur Springs held off Terrell (Terrell, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
