Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) and the host Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV), saw Spanish Springs's soccer squad triumph over Fernley by a count of 6-0.

The Cougars (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV). The Miners enter the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Bishop Manogue tipped Churchill County (Fallon, NV), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Vaqueros battle the White Pine Bobcats (Ely, NV) in a 3A Northern - East battle, on Friday, August 23. Fernley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
