The Coffee Trojans softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Jones County Greyhounds to 2 in the Trojans non-league win on Saturday.

The Trojans now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Veterans for a 5A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 20. Coffee will confront a Warhawks team coming off a 11-4 non-league win over Perry (Perry, GA). The Warhawks record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Jones County moves to 4-2 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Union Grove (McDonough, GA) to confront the Wolverines in a 4A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 20. The Wolverines come into the battle with a record of 5-3. Union Grove won 16-1 in their recent league battle against McDonough (McDonough, GA)
