In Saturday's non-league test, the Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA), by a tally of 7-1.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 17. Tift County will attempt to advance on its 6-2 season record. The Indians go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 6-3 league win over Central (Macon, GA).

The Bulldogs (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA). The Buccaneers go into the 1A D-II Region 3 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, McIntosh County Academy held off First Preparatory Christian Academy (Hinesville, GA), 9-6, in a non-league challenge.
