In Saturday's non-league test, the Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Lovett Lions (Atlanta, GA), by a tally of 9-3.
Next, the Chiefs clash with the River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, August 20. Sequoyah will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 2-5 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Denmark (Alpharetta, GA).
The Lions (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Hillgrove (Powder Springs, GA). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Hillgrove held off South Cobb (Austell, GA), 16-0, in a league test.
