With the win, Neshoba Central improves its record to 9-0 on the season. The Rockets host Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 17. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 0-2.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forest for a Class 4A Region 5 battle on Monday, August 19. Clarkdale will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 0-5.
