In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host St. Joseph Catholic Eagles volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Faith Christian Saints.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty Christian (Argyle, TX). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Liberty Christian edged Briarwood (Houston, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Saints meet the Village Vikings (Houston, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 17. Faith Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record.
