In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host New Hope Trojans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the St. Patrick Fighting Irish.

The Trojans (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Gautier (Gautier, MS). The Gators come into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Gautier edged Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Irish meet the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) in a Class 3A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, August 20. St. Patrick will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over East Marion (Columbia, MS).
