Fairmont Firebirds (Kettering, OH) fans left the game content Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Archbishop Alter Knights (Kettering, OH), 24-7 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Fairmont improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, OH) to battle the Rams in a non-league test on Friday, August 26. The Rams come into the test with a record of 0-1. Trotwood-Madison lost 39-16 in their recent non-league test against Winton Woods (Cincinnati, OH)

With the loss, Archbishop Alter drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Thurgood Marshall (Dayton, OH) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Friday, August 26.
