In Thursday's non-league game, the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) football team knocked off the host Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC), by a final score of 40-14.
The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Crest toppled Freedom (Morganton, NC), 34-28, in a non-league game.
The Jaguars now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Lincoln for a non-league game on Thursday, August 25. Forestview will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 22-0 non-league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
