The Sunny Hills Lancers held off the host Whittier Christian Heralds volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Lancers now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Villa Park for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 23.
The Heralds (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Maranatha (Pasadena, CA). The Minutemen enter the test with a 0-0 record.
